Live Review: God of Carnage

By April 23, 2015Review, Video

God of Carnage was dramatic and made your heartbeat at times. Deaf Spotlight hosted its 2nd theatrical production on April 16 – 19 and 24 – 26, 2015, at the 12th Ave Arts Mainstage. Ryan Schlecht Director for this play by French playwright, Yasmina Reza and translated by Christopher Hampton.

The story line has some unexpected moments when the parents shared their dark sides. The parents were coming together to solve their children’s problems. I went to the Saturday evening showing, April 18; which had voice interpreters. I brought my mom. My mom is hearing and also know ASL. My mom said that the interpreters were smooth and clear. She had a great time, but was a little surprised at the strong language.

Four Leader of character in the story: Billy Seago As Alan Raleigh, Anna Bracilano As Annette Raleigh, Reggie Scott As Michael Novak, and Aimee Chou As Veronica Novak were great acting! Spotlight’s God of Carnage is a great success!

Thank you Spotlight for hosting this play, is was the biggest play so far this year for the Deaf community using ASL.  Bring your friends!
